What is Hineni?

Welcome to my new blog! For those of you who followed my first blog, thank you for coming over here and supporting my new journey into the world of photography! If you haven't seen my first blog detailing my summer trip to the Holy Land, I encourage you to check it out at kateisraeltrip.blogspot.com.

In my first blog, entitled simply, "Hineni" I explained the origins of this unique name and why it's so near and dear to my heart. I've included an excerpt below:

The name Hineni (hee-nay-nee) in Hebrew means, "Here am I!" The word also implies "search me." Isaiah 6:8 says, "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'

"Hineni" in Hebrew
For several years, this verse has been my constant prayer. I long to go wherever it is the Lord has called me, and I don't want to just go, but have a passion in serving Him. It is my hope and prayer that I not only serve as a representative of Christ this summer, but that I continue doing so for as long as I live. It is also my prayer that those of you who chose to follow this blog will be impacted by my journey, and that you will  be drawn closer to our Lord and Savior as a result.

Even though my journey to Israel was over two years ago (crazy!!), this is still my prayer. I again thank you for your kindness in following this little blog, and I will remind you that I am still very new at both blogging and photography. I apologize in advance for any mundane, silly, or unnecessary readings you have to endure. :)

Your sister in Christ,
